<strong>WILMER, Texas, September 11, 2023</strong>&nbsp;– Trina Solar, a global leader in smart solar products and solutions, has announced it will build a more than 1 million square foot solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing facility in Wilmer, Texas. The company is investing more than $200 million in property and equipment. When completed, the facility will provide 1,500 local jobs, produce 5 GW of modules and source polysilicon from the United States and Europe.&nbsp;</p>

<strong>FREMONT, Calif., September 11, 2023&nbsp;</strong>– Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (“Trina” or “the company”), a global leader in smart energy solutions, will be showcasing the solar industry’s new competitive edge at RE+ 2023 in Las Vegas: Vertex N and Vertex S+ with n-type TOPCon Advanced technology. The company will also feature its suite of vertically integrated technology, including Trinahub, TrinaTracker and TrinaStorage.</p>

Trina Solar has begun to supply Vertex N 700W+ series modules to the 560MW PV power station in the Qinghai province of Xinghai County.&nbsp;The power station is expected to be commissioned by the end of this year, with an average annual energy yield of about 1.077 billion kWh.</p>

<span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Solar industry veterans know all too well how supply chain issues, shifting regulations, and geopolitical risks can disrupt the U.S. market. Trina Solar has yet again extended its international footprint with the production of 210mm monocrystalline silicon wafers in Vietnam. The first wafers rolled off the factory's production line in the city of&nbsp;Thai Nguyen, 80 kilometers north of Hanoi, on August 23^rd. The factory will be able to produce 6.5GW of wafer&nbsp;annually. With this new capacity, Trina Solar will have greater flexibility in being able to deliver its products worldwide.</p>

The photovoltaic power station for a desalination plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, with a total installed capacity of 45.5 MW, was connected to the grid recently, fully equipped with Trina Solar’s Vertex N 700W series modules. Engineering, procurement, and construction of the project were undertaken by SEPCOIII, affiliated to Power China.&nbsp;</p>

The first 210mm n-type TOPCon cells have been produced in Trina Solar’s net-zero park in Qinghai province on Aug 1, marking the mass production of the 5GW n-type TOPCon cell capacity. It is a milestone in Trina Solar’s integrated layout of n-type technology, which incorporates the entire industry supply chain of ingot, wafer, cell, and module.&nbsp;</p>

Trina Solar has again been recognized as the Overall Highest Achiever for the outstanding performance of its Vertex N 700W series modules in the RETC 2023 PV Module Index Report, published recently. This is the fourth time Trina Solar has been honored with the accolade, exemplifying its leadership in the PV industry.</p>
