    2019.11.26

Trina Solar has made a great contribution to the development of clean energy in the European Union, Colin Yang, chief brand officer, says.

Yang made the comments at the 3rd EU-China CEO and Former Senior Officials’ Dialogue held in Beijing from Nov 25 to 26. He took part in discussions on topics such as trade between China and the EU, investment relations, reform of the World Trade Organization and restructuring the global multilateral trading system.

Trina Solar began to expand to the European market as early as 2005, Yang told attendees, and had set up its European regional headquarters in Zurich, and branches or offices in Munich, Madrid and Toulouse. It is active in more than 20 European countries, he said.

"We have provided more than 4GW of photovoltaic power generation equipment, and the quality of our products has been well recognized by users. We have been rated as one of the top European brands and are developing photovoltaic power plants in Belgium, Britain, Greece, Italy and other countries."

Both Chinese and European companies support economic globalization and oppose unilateralism and protectionism, Yang said.

"Last year we acquired the Spanish company Nclave, which had been operating in the development, manufacturing and engineering design of solar trackers and fixed tilt structures for 12 years, and enhanced TrinaPro, our smart photovoltaic solution for large-scale power stations.

Participants in the meeting reached consensuses in a number of areas, which laid a solid foundation for the two sides to work more closely together. Trina Solar is ready to strengthen collaboration in PV smart energy with companies from various countries and regions, including the EU, and provide customers and partners with industry-leading solutions to benefit all mankind, Yang said.
