TOPCon solar module technology will continue to be the trendsetter in the photovoltaic industry over the next five years, with its high level of industrialization, higher customer value, including higher yield capability per watt, higher reliability, lowest per-GW equipment investment, and ample production capacity, says Yifeng Chen, vice president of Trinasolar. His views are in line with InfoLink and many others in the PV industry, which indicate that TOPCon has become the mainstream technology and the preferred choice of leading manufacturers.

This year Trinasolar is introducing Vertex N monofacial glass-backsheet modules and anti-dust modules for C&I rooftops. Combined with the latest n-type i-TOPCon Advanced technology, both solutions deliver maximum output power of up to 630W and efficiency of 23.3%. Using Trinasolar's innovative 210R rectangular silicon wafer design and standard size format of 2382x1134mm, the two modules weigh only 27.9kg, ideal for commercial and industrial low-load rooftop applications.

Trinasolar published its financial report for the first half of 2024 on Aug 30, reporting revenue of $6.047 billion and net profit attributable to the parent of $74.058 million, reflecting two consecutive quarters of profitability. Over the six months the company delivered 34GW in PV modules, 1.7GWh of DC container and energy storage systems and 3.2GW of solar mounting systems, highlighting and consolidating its leadership in smart PV and energy storage solutions.

Trinasolar's factory in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, has obtained the 2023 Zero-carbon Factory (Type I) Four-star Certificate from TiGroup, the second time such authoritative green certification has been awarded to it since it became the first zero-carbon factory in the photovoltaic industry last year.

Trinasolar's Vertex N 720W modules have excelled in a stringent UV test with an industry-leading degradation of 1.6% after being exposed to 300kWh/m² of frontal UV irradiation (UV300), tested and certified by the China General Certification Center. This underlines once again its great reliability and the competitiveness of Trinasolar products.

Trinasolar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions has entered into a research collaboration with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) with the aim to advance the optimization and upgrading of industrial battery manufacturing technologies, contributing to the green and low-carbon energy transition in China, Singapore, and globally.

Trinasolar's Vertex N 720W series module has achieved top ranking in a PV Magazine test, demonstrating its excellent performance in all categories in indoor performance tests. Alongside the Vertex S+ clear black module, these two modules secured the top two spots among all TOPCon modules tested.

The PV Magazine test encompasses both indoor performance tests and outdoor test evaluations, aiming to provide a comprehensive assessment of PV module performance from numerous perspectives.
