Trina Solar’s Leading Technologies for Higher Efficiency at All Energy Australia 2022
2022.10.24

Trina Solar, the leading global PV and smart energy total solution provider, is participating in All-Energy Australia (26-27 October) where it will be promoting its high-performance Vertex modules among its other products and solutions.

The modules on display at Trina Solar’s stand (SS113) at the All-Energy Australia exhibition in Melbourne includes the Vertex S, Vertex DE19R and Vertex N NEG19RC.20. Making its first appearance in APAC market, this latest unveiled Vertex N leads the advanced next-generation cell technology and products.

Vertex S is a rooftop module designed primarily for residences. The module now comes with a 25-year extended product warranty, is easy to install and is compatible with inverter systems in Australia. The ‘All-Black’ version of Vertex S won a Red Dot Design Award, the world’s leading award for industrial and product design.

Trina Solar Asia Pacific president, Todd Li, says: “Australia’s economy is moving away from fossil fuels and being transformed into an economy powered by renewable energy.”

“This transformation is partly driven by further electrification, growth of electric vehicles and production of green hydrogen that relies on electricity from renewables. Solar energy is the right choice for Australia, because it is proven technology that is available today and quickly deployable.”

“Australia’s solar energy industry is creating highly-skilled and well-paid jobs,” says Todd, adding that in recent months Trina Solar has doubled its workforce in Australia and appointed country manager, Edison Zhou, who has experience in sales across the Asia Pacific region, in response to market growth driven partly by the household sector.

Todd says: “Some households want larger solar systems so they can be independent from the power grid and have sufficient electricity to recharge electric vehicles.”

Trina Solar is introducing its new Vertex DE19R and Vertex N NEG19RC.20 modules, for small and large scale utility segment. It has high power and efficiency, delivering lower balance of system (BOS) cost and lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE) while providing high reliability.

The Vertex DE19R module – maximum power output up to 580W and maximum efficiency of 21.5% - uses 210mm cells and is different to the earlier generation DE19 module, because it incorporates rectangle rather than square-shaped solar cells.

As the industry rapidly moves toward a new stage of n-type, Vertex N NEG19RC.20, a bifacial double glass module based on 210 rectangular silicon wafer technology and n-type technology, is introduced to Australia. Inheriting the Vertex family’s merits of higher power, higher efficiency, higher energy yield and higher reliability, Vertex N boasts maximum power output of 595W with the efficiency up to 22%, providing high value for C&I and utility-scale projects.

At its exhibition stand, Trina Solar will also be showcasing TrinaTracker’s new Vanguard 1P tracker, which offers energy yield improvements of up to 15% and is designed to perform in challenging conditions, such as high winds. Trina Solar is unique because it is the only solar module manufacturer that also makes trackers.

TrinaTracker’s software algorithms use topographical and real-time weather and light monitoring data to optimizes the tilt of the module panel to maximize light absorption and minimize shading, delivering further yield gains of up to 8%.

Trina Solar, being a world-leading PV and smart energy total solutions provider, continues to strengthen its business system centering on core products, such as PV modules, trackers, batteries, and is expanding solutions for the entire PV system. “Trina Solar, the industry’s most bankable brand, can offer the industry’s only truly integrative solution of modules/trackers/energy storage and smart controls to reduce EPC cost and risk, while at the same time unlocking the highest and most assured long term energy outcome for IPPs and long term asset owners in Australia.” says Todd.
